What's New at Celestial Divide — Q2 2026
Tax-smart allocations, a guided onboarding tour, admin-entered bidding, and asset values that stay current — everything we shipped in Q2.
Last quarter we launched. This quarter we went deeper — into the details that make dividing an estate genuinely fair. The headline: Celestial Divide now understands taxes, keeps asset values honest over time, and lets administrators run the entire process on their family's behalf. Here's what shipped in Q2.
Taxes Are Now Part of the Picture
Two inheritances can look identical on paper and be worth very different amounts once taxes come due. $500,000 in a pre-tax retirement account is not the same as $500,000 in cash — and who receives it matters, because everyone pays a different tax rate.
This quarter we launched tax mitigation, our biggest feature since going live. Celestial Divide now takes each beneficiary's tax situation into account — things like filing status and income — and steers tax-heavy assets toward the people who will keep the most of them. The platform clearly marks which assets are affected, and a new printable report shows the family exactly how much the smarter allocation is estimated to save. It's the kind of analysis families used to need a specialist for, built right into the process.
A Guided Tour From Setup to Results
Starting something this important shouldn't feel like being handed the keys and a shrug. New administrators now get a guided walkthrough of the entire journey — setting up an estate, adding assets and beneficiaries, collecting preferences, running the allocation, and understanding the results — using a practice estate, so you can see how everything works before touching real family data.
Run the Whole Process on Your Family's Behalf
Not every family member wants to create an account and log in — and now they don't have to. Administrators can add beneficiaries directly, without sending an invitation, and record each person's preferences on their behalf from a new Admin Bidding page. Gather everyone's wishes around the kitchen table or over the phone, enter them yourself, and run the allocation. You can always invite someone to participate directly later — it's your call.
Asset Values That Stay Honest
Estates take time to settle, and values move. Every asset now carries an "as of" date alongside its value, and you can record an original value too — so everyone can see how much a property or account has changed, in dollars and percent.
More importantly, the platform now watches for the problem this creates: if an asset's value changes meaningfully after people have already shared their preferences, those preferences are flagged as out of date, affected beneficiaries can be notified with one click, and you'll be warned before results are generated on stale numbers. No more quietly dividing an estate based on last year's appraisal.
A Clearer View of Real Estate
For homes with a mortgage, what actually gets divided is the equity — the value left after the loan. The platform now shows that plainly wherever property values appear, so there's no confusion between what a house is worth and what it contributes to the estate.
Built for Divorce, Too
Fairly dividing property isn't only an inheritance problem. Celestial Divide now adapts to divorce and separation matters — using the right language and workflow for dividing marital property between parties, backed by the same fairness engine. We also introduced concierge services for both estate administration and family law, for families who want a specialist to handle the heavy lifting.
Less Typing, Fewer Mistakes
Entering an estate's worth of data is nobody's favorite job, so we made it smaller. Bulk imports now catch problems — like an unrecognized asset type — and let you fix them on the spot instead of starting over, with AI lending a hand to correct flagged records. Financial forms got simpler too, with plain multiple-choice questions replacing fields that used to require digging through tax returns.
Help Where You Need It
A new library of support videos now lives right on your dashboard — short walkthroughs of the most common tasks, available the moment a question comes up.
Faster, Friendlier, and Ready to Connect
Under the hood, we rebuilt how the app loads to make every page snappier, and we laid the foundation for a secure API — which will let estate attorneys, financial advisors, and other professional partners connect their own tools to Celestial Divide. More on that soon.
